IAPMO Seeks Volunteers to Serve on Special Committees
Ontario, Calif. (July 22, 2014) — The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO®) is seeking qualified and motivated volunteers to participate on a number of non-consensus Special Committees associated with the Uniform Codes and other IAPMO/industry interests.
IAPMO's Special Committees are made up of volunteers who assist in the development of the support publications and educational resources for the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®) and Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC®). These experts help to develop responses to code questions (these do not include the consensus code Formal Interpretations); educational programs and seminars; study guides and training manuals; and workshop questions for use during the sessions held at IAPMO's annual conference each year.
IAPMO members who are considered code experts among their peers and/or have a passion for industry-related education are strong candidates for the following committees:
• Green Technical Committee
• UPC Answers & Analysis Committee
• UMC Answers & Analysis Committee
• Education & Training Committee
• Publication Development Committee
• Plumbing Code Workshop Committee
• Mechanical Code Workshop Committee
The deadline to submit an application is Oct. 1.
