Team USA “Labors” on Labor Day Weekend

Team USA is focused and ready to head to India to compete in the upcoming Community Plumbing Challenge (CPC) this November. In preparation for the CPC competition in Nashik, India, Team USA met in suburban Chicago this labor-day weekend to ensure they are fully prepared for the competition in front of them.

Team USA participants Miya Preston, Adam Koenigs, Jill Vande Boom and Peter Hollmaier joined advisors Doug Nelson, Judy Torres and Randy Lorge for two days of intense meetings to review and analyze Brief #1 of the CPC competition. ‘Laboring’ on Labor day was essential as the Brief must be completed and submitted before they leave for India in two short months.

The Community Plumbing Challenge India is the second effort in team competitions designed to showcase the skills of young professionals working together as a team to create unique and innovative solutions to problematic sanitary conditions in developing parts of the world.

Team USA won the first of these team competitions - the Water Innovation Challenge - in Singapore last year.
