The IAPMO Group is proud to announce that Coca-Cola has suggested IAPMO as an agency to test and certify water filtration products that could be used for basic treatment of water-supplying Coca-Cola dispensers.
Suppliers selling water treatment equipment to restaurants that dispense Coca-Cola products should have their products tested and certified by an ANSI-accredited, third-party certifier. Joe Palmeri, a Foodservice Quality Assurance Specialist at The Coca-Cola Co., and William Freeman, Foodservice Quality Assurance Specialist for Coca-Cola, toured the IAPMO R&T Laboratory and reviewed factory inspection and certification topics. Shortly after the visit, they informed IAPMO that water treatment suppliers would be notified that the company was comfortable with IAPMO’s certification process.
“IAPMO R&T Lab was happy to invite representatives from Coca-Cola to review our water treatment testing capabilities,” said Tom Palkon, Senior Vice President of Water Systems for IAPMO R&T. “Coca-Cola prefers water treatment suppliers certify through an ANSI-accredited, third-party certifier, and IAPMO is proud to be included.”
IAPMO’s Water Systems program, which tests and certifies such products as point-of-use drinking water treatment units, shower filters, and microbiological purifiers, informs and provides the utmost confidence to regulators, inspectors, manufacturers, distributers, installers, engineers, and consumers that products have been tested and certified to all applicable standards.
