Davidson, N.C., June 28, 2018 – David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held home builder, honored Trane®, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services, and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, with its “A,A” Partners of Choice Award for 2017 performance, with top ratings for both quality and service. It’s the tenth time that Trane has received this award.
“We’re ecstatic to receive this recognition from David Weekley Homes again, because it demonstrates how our focus on delivering the best experience leads to satisfied customers.” said Kevin Baxter, vice president of sales for Trane’s residential business. “This award is evidence that our team is dedicated to making sure every interaction with Trane supports our customers’ success, and builds satisfaction for the homeowner and the builder.”
Fewer than 9 percent of 200 suppliers doing business with David Weekley Homes received the esteemed “A,A Partners of Choice” award for both quality and service excellence for 2017 performance.
David Weekley Homes awards the “A,A Partners of Choice” to trading partners that receive the highest marks in its supplier evaluation platform, the “National Trading Partner Survey,” which goes to 1,000 of the builder’s employees.
“We continually challenge our national trading partners to achieve channel alignment. This is when all parties in the distribution channel are in alignment to consistently deliver cost effective, high quality products to our company,” said Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services and the chief innovator of the nationally renowned Supplier Evaluation Platform for David Weekley Homes. “Our unique ranking system allows us to compare our partners’ results across all different industries. For the 10th time our friends at Trane have proven they are world-class in delivering quality and service to David Weekely Homes.”
The award is based on surveys completed by over 1,000 David Weekley team members at all levels and functions, who evaluate and rate their interactions with trading partners. The home builder distinguishes its rigorous process by holding manufacturers accountable for the performance of the entire supply channel from product production through delivery and installation. The Supplier Evaluation Platform seeks input from all roles within David Weekley Homes. The process requires all parties to be engaged and committed to continuous improvement and world-class excellence.
During 2017, Trane received a score of 9.66 for quality and 9.64 for service. Trane received the A,A award in 2005-2008, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017, and the single A award in service in 2013.
