Comment Period Extended for Draft Homes Program, Version 2.0

On April 18, 2019, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released its draft WaterSense® Labeled Homes Program, Version 2.0. EPA seeks to enhance and modernize the WaterSense Labeled Homes Program that began in 2009 with the release of this draft revision and associated WaterSense Home Certification System.

To ensure that stakeholders have enough time to review and provide feedback on the proposed changes included in Version 2.0, EPA has extended the comment period to June 18, 2019. Please send any comments or suggestions to watersense-programs@erg.com.

On May 14, 2019, EPA hosted a public meeting via teleconference and webinar to discuss the draft WaterSense Labeled Homes Program. To review the presentation, access the recording, or find out more on EPA’s proposed revisions, visit the WaterSense website.

When final, the revised program will make it easier for industry stakeholders to participate in the WaterSense Labeled Homes Program and allow homeowners to continue enjoying the same (or a greater) level of performance and water efficiency they have come to expect from WaterSense labeled homes.

If you have any questions about the draft specification, please contact the WaterSense Helpline at (866) WTR-SENS (987-7367) or watersense@epa.gov.
